The Jaguars made four roster moves today after injuries hit during Thursday's preseason loss at Chicago.
Waived was receiver Chad Hall, who was signed Aug. 6 when the Jaguars were depleted at the position.
Waived was fullback Bradie Ewing, who sustained a season-ending wrist injury against the Bears. When he clears waivers, he will revert to injured reserve.
Signed were fullback Harvey Unga and offensive tackle Cody Booth.
Unga (6-foot and 237 pounds) is a former supplemental draft pick by the Bears but has never played in an NFL game. He spent parts of three years (2011-13) with Chicago and was released from its practice squad last October. He participated in Carolina’s rookie camp in May. Unga holds the BYU record for career rushing yards (3,455) and he scored 36 rushing touchdowns.
Booth (6-foot-4 and 292 pounds) was undrafted out of Temple but signed with the Bears in mid-May. He was waived Aug. 1. He started 26 of 41 games for the Owls and played three years at tight end before moving to left tackle last year.
The Jaguars need tackle depth this week because of injuries to starting right tackle Austin Pasztor (broken hand) and reserve tackle Josh Wells (shoulder).
